- What is included with Nevada Bell Internet's Dedicated Access service?
- Our basic service includes the following features:
- Full, unrestricted Internet access
- Internet domain name registration
- Secondary Domain Name Service (DNS)
- Back-up e-mail spooling
- Network News feed
- Our optional services include: online customer profile traffic reports, primary DNS service, and our Internet Access Pack which includes the network equipment required for your Internet connection.
- What else do I need to connect up to the Internet using your Dedicated Access service?
- Nevada Bell Internet can help coordinate everything you need for dedicated access to the Internet including:
- High speed digital transport via Nevada Bell FasTrak Frame Relay, DS1 and DS3.
- Hardware including routers, CSU/DSUs and Internet servers (including Internet applications)
- Software including firewall, browser and encryption
- What hardware is required for Dedicated Access to the Internet?

- Can Nevada Bell Internet assist with my Internet hardware and software requirements?
- Yes, through Pacific Bell Network Integration and strategic marketing relationships with Netscape Communications, Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems and Ascend Communications. In addition to providing the required hardware and software, Pacific Bell Network Integration can assist you with a wide range of internetworking equipment and installation, consulting, and network management and security services.
- What is an Internet Global Service Provider (GSP) connection? Why do I need one?
- All regional Internet Service Providers, including Nevada Bell Internet, must route traffic through a Global Service Provider. Almost all Internet Service Providers bundle in GSP charges, by regulation Nevada Bell Internet must offer GSP charges unbundled.
- What domain names are available with Nevada Bell Internet's Dedicated Access service?
- We will register the domain name of the customer's choice with InterNIC (provided it is available). Any associated registration fees are the responsibility of the customer.
- No, Dedicated Access customers can use the Web browser of their choice.

- Where is Nevada Bell Internet Dedicated Access service available?
- Our Dedicated Access service is available in Reno/Sparks and Carson City area. For more information, please check our availability map for current Frame Relay, DS1 and DS3 Internet access.
- How much does Nevada Bell Internet Dedicated Access cost?
- Pricing for Dedicated Access varies by the type and speed of transport
selected. Please call our Sales Department at 1-888-724-7253 or send an e-mail to
sales@nvbell.net for more information and current pricing.
We are also offering a complete package solution, the Internet Access Pack, including Internet access, Frame Relay or DS1 transport, network connection equipment, and comprehensive installation and configuration services. For more information, please see our Internet Access Pack.
- Is there a usage component associated with Dedicated Access service?
- Most of the Dedicated Access options are not usage-based. However, we offer Burstable DS1 to meet your varying bandwidth needs.
- Does Nevada Bell Internet offer term discounts for Dedicated Access service?
- Yes, the discounts for Nevada Bell Internet access only are as follows (does not apply to transport or Global Service Provider components):

- Dedicated Access is viewed primarily as a medium- to large-size business customer access option. Our dial-up access, ISDN and DSL Internet access are primarily for small businesses and consumers.
