Customer Care
We staff our NetCenter 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to give our customers real-time access to the highly qualified professionals who keep their network up and running. With one call to 1-800-463-8724, problem resolution starts immediately. Our phones are answered by personnel who actually work on problems, rather than by administrative support personnel.
Proactive Monitoring
While it’s comforting to know that Nevada Bell Internet engineers are only a phone call or e-mail away, you probably won’t have to contact us. We have an enviable record of proactive trouble notification -- our NetCenter detects and corrects service problems and notifies customers before they even notice them.
To provide this level of service we continually ping routers to verify each customer's serial connection. Additionally, we use state-of-the-art management tools such as HP OpenView, CiscoWorks, CiscoView, Micromuse NetCool, and BMC Patrol. These tools detect and forward alarms to our NetCenter engineers for identification, tracking, and resolution. Our monitoring team proactively responds to whatever situation arises, enabling us to maximize network availability and minimize costly, unplanned downtime.
Service Reliability
We purposely overbuilt our network, so your traffic always gets through with no speed bumps to slow it down. We track and trend all routers and GSP circuits via network management tools and add additional capacity to the network well before reaching the threshold. Although this may not be the cheapest way for us to do business, it ensures you get what you've paid for by avoiding the latency issues inherent in overdriving a network.
We're committed to providing network availability even under circumstances beyond our control:
- We've equipped our NetCenter with battery backup and generators to supply power to all systems in the event of a power failure.
- We also have a data center and NetCenter in Richardson, Texas that provides full redundancy and is capable of seamlessly maintaining our customers' service, should the need arise.
